A remarkable 18th century antique oak storage bench with mythical carvings, c. 1760. A rare, rural piece, originating in northern England (and potentially Scotland). The bench carvings depict a flutist with tree of life in the center, flanked on both sides by two lions rampant. Truly, a magical piece.
