Antique French Deep Green Demijohn

A gorgeous deep green demijohn in great condition from France. Demijohn comes from the French dame-jeanne "Lady Jane." These blown glass canisters were used for transporting and fermenting fluids, and date back to the 14th century. I love seeing these used for decor—for dry flowers or on their own and particularly in a spot where they can catch some great window light. This particular demijohn is in wonderful condition, with a smooth top lip and no breakage.
