Antique Scumbled Marriage Chest with Hidden Drawers, c. 1870

A fairytale treasure chest from Nottinghamshire! An antique pine scumbled marriage chest with hidden drawers and the tiniest key, c. 1870. The underside of the lid has its original tufted upholstery in a beautiful royal purple. Two small drawers with brass pulls are inside the box, beneath the candle box. A very special piece with plenty of storage space, atop four bracket feet.
